Cinema 4D character creation

Typography lesson 2

In my second lesson i took the meaning and created each of my letters on one A5 sheet of paper. I thought smartly how to have my letters, therefore i created them in rope to reinforce the idea of holding on and it worked perfectly.

Typography lesson 1

In this Typography lesson i had to come up with a 16 letter meaning and create it in various types. After a long think i thought of a nice meaning that also had an acrostical meaning 'Hold On Pain Ends'. A really nice creation and i arranged it so it also spelt HOPE horizontally.

Here i experimented with various types to create my meaning.

After Effects 3D camera lesson

In this After Effects workshop i was introduced to 3D camera, it was exciting because i had never used it before and i wanted to take full advantage of the effect, i quickly caught on how to use the effect of a 3D camera and i used it to create this piece with the overlaying stars. I had them come on the screen to make it as though the camera is travelling backwards for the stars to appear on screen.

Contextual Record piece #13

Though Pixar is not run by Disney, their animated film WALL-E is by far one of their most famous and notable animations, the time gone into creating the world of WALL-E is amazing and the storyline is even better, from finding Nemo they created a futuristic space film and it payed off for them it was a eye catching beautifully created animation.

Contextual Record piece #12

I have talked about many CGI animations but wallace and gromit is the perfect example of thinking outside the box, to create such unbelievable animations out of clay stop motion is inspiring and the amount of work gone into the films is nothing short of genius.

Contextual Record piece #11

Sadly with ice-age it had a similar story to shrek, the sequals in my opinion did not match up to the original however the storyline and the animations were created well and the film was fun to watch.

Contextual Record piece #10

Shrek was an example of CGI done correctly, the graphics were amazing and really believable, the film had everything from a decent storyline to famous voiceovers although i do personally believe the sequals were not as good as the original shrek.

Contextual Record piece #9

For me star wars: the clone wars was a must see since i loved every star wars film i was itching for more and when they brought out this animation for a spin off i was excited, and the animation didnt disappoint the creativity is amazing and really fun to watch.

Contextual Record piece #8

The animation in spongebob is so simple but it works so effectively. For kids simplicity is all that is required and the fun of watching something imaginary but this is a show just for kids as i grew up i grew out of this show as good as the animation is.

Contextual Record piece #7

just like yu-gi-oh, pokemon has been a programme when i was growing up in which i could escape to a magical world also with a card game and video games pokemon was and still is a big part of my life. over the years the change of quality within the animations of pokemon are clearly visable but for animation 20 years ago they did an amazing job to create a cartoon world.

Group project

For this exercise we had to plan out how we would get a job after we finished University and how we would go about doing so within a group.
For this exercise we searched the Internet to see what was actually out there at this minute and what was interesting and how easy to find Animation jobs.
For this exercise we had to determine how our society would entail if we as a community carried on as we do, the problems and the advancments ahead of us.

Contextual Record piece #6

again these cartoons are a strong example of the storylines being more important than any other element, the humour within these cartoons catch everyones attention and surely caught mine, ofcourse the animation is amazing the us of the animation principles within tom and jerry is genius and works perfect with the storylines.

Contextual Record piece #5

avatar is yet another loved cartoon of mine, the idea of having magical powers is every kids dream and this animation sure did connect with children. A film was created from this animation which in my opinion was dreadful proving the animation only worked within the boundaries of cartoon animation.

Contextual Record piece #4

yu-gi-oh is to date my most inspiring and loved animation programme, growing up i would watch this show and get transported into the world of yu-gi-oh with the yu-gi-oh card game along side the animation, getting drawn into a world of your own imagionation is what cartoons is all about and i admire Takahasi for his creations. I still watch yu-gi-oh to date!

Contextual Record piece #3

Walt Disney have so many amazing films but the film that effected me the most growing up was the lion king. The thought that went into the film was unbelievable to first hand study and replicate how animals think and then create an animation to connect with children and even adults so much is magical.

Contextual Record piece #2

Animation doesnt always have to be a film or a programme, the mortal kombat game has amazing motion graphics within it. Though there is many mortal kombat films, for me the best representation of their creations is within the mortal kombat game.

Contextual Record piece #1

I chose to include Futurama in my contextual record because its a really good example of cartoon animation, Its not all about the animation its also about the storyline of the cartoon and the humour. The animation caught my attention due to its witty and funny storys but also the simplicity of the animation is great.
